I was doing some reading on some old post and saw you were using ATAP and only getting like 8 frames in the quarter or so. Have you thought about using EFILive? It is tons better than ATAP as far as logging goes. You can log as many as 24 counters and it is so much more fluid and non laggy feeling unlike ATAP. If you are sitting in Park and nail the throttle and let off quickly, you see the needle move from 0 to full throttle in a nice sweep rather than see it hit 40, 70 then 100, and back to 0.

Try downloading the one from their site and use the eval code. I think you can only log for like 5 seconds, but it will give you an idea.

i had an ancient laptop and i think the first version of their cable, i tried a new laptop and it was much faster and the atap guys told me with the v2 cable that it would be WAY faster yet. i dont think it was soo much an atap vs efilive problem but just that everything i was using was out dated.

i have a v2 cable on the way right now, $99 upgrade and it will be the enhansed version and the version that will work on gm/ford/dodge. i might upgrade to efilive later, i like haveing all the cool stuff but i am going thru money like it is falling off trees lately and have to hold back a little.

that efilive with bidirection controls is $200, is it really worth that much?

I have the latest versions of ATAP, when I ordered last year anyways. If I did the WOT rev thing, I could make it go from 0 to 100 and back to 0 and hit no points in between. With EFILive, it is a smooth transition and counts points in between.

If you have a lot of counters it is more than worth it I think.

Check out this log, it's less than 5 minutes and has over 1200 lines. I had more a couple more counters than what's on the spreadsheet, but this should show you how much faster it is. This is a log of my truck running open headers when it was running so rich, for grins check out the stft's keep in mind I had just reset the fuel trims too, that's why they start off reading 0.
