On the 5.3s that had the lifter cam recall were the cam bearings bad too? I'm starting to think maybe the bearing is off and not letting enough oil through. And that's why it ticks under a load

I figured it out and fixed it. It was the o ring on the oil pick up tube. I didn't know not to reuse it plus I remembered it gave me trouble installing it and it was pinched not letting the engine get enough oil pressure and the lifters kept bleeding off under a load. It's fixed and runs good. Real happy with the cam choice.
