did you check the ground strap to the body, and to the frame? Check the contacks on the battery.

re-check your grounds.... run ALL grounds to the iron block, not the aluminum heads

I know you are getting tired of hearing "Ground", but these motors seem to be very sensitve to this.

I had a Funky ground on the block after reinstalling motor/trans. It was so screwy, even my headlights we're acting up. (acting like they were shorted, unplug the bulbs engine wouldnt start lol)

so it must be the ground thats attachted to the drivers side head thats causing this, how the hell can I put it to the iron block now? without ripping everything off?

Removing the intake obviously would give you a lot of extra work room. However, perhaps easier you can unbolt the transmission mount, and carefully with a jack push the transmission up. (tilting the engine forward) giving you a bit more handroom.
