Mine is at 700-800RPM. around their. I can run my AC and stuff without it dieng. However, sometimes on a hot start it won't start with the first crank of the key, sometimes you have to try again or give it a little gas then it'll be fine. The T-Rex requires some good valve springs, but the cam kit already has them, the 921s. Also, what questions do you have about it? I was going to get it when I built my 6.0 and did a lot of research on it, so I know quite a bit about it.

Need more info, Where do you want the power? Is this a street/setup?

The 6.0 seems to swallow big cams pritty easily, I would really love to see a t-rex in a 6.0 I wouldnt do it for a daily though a truck is different than an f bod and getting that much weight moving at every light with a huge cam is gonna be a pain in the ***.
TB stall and 222/226 around .566 lift= faster than you think

Not neccessarily. I remember a guy here talking to Thunder about the T-rex in his 5.3. Thunder racing said he could get away with it with a 4000 Stall. a 6.0 and 3500 stall would be perfect for DD.

budhayes3--- if you have not bought a cam yet i think a custom grind is a little more but i would go with 218/222 580/585 on a 114 +2*r 4* and with a custome tune with 28* r 30* of timeing with 3.73 it would be in the low 13.s high 12.s in good weather

that would be the only other way i would go

Nope, I haven't bought the cam yet littreddevil...still researching. The cam you recommended sounds interesting...This thread has definitely broadened my choices Hopefully BigMike9009 has gotten some of the answers that he's looking for too.

BigBlockChev572, thanks for the info...idiling around 750 is pretty decent. I basically emailed Thunder Racing to see what cam they would recommend to me for a daily driven 6.0 and mentioned that I had some interest in th TR224. I'm trying to get as much info as possible before I make my final choice...it's really awesome how many choices there are for GENIII engines!

I don't wanna get too far off topic, but did you check your fuel pressure regulator for that hot start problem? A leaking fp reg will have the symptoms you've described.

Actually, I think a TSPs Magic Stick MS3 would be great. Similar to the T-rex in gains, but it's on a 113 LSA to make it easier to idle and tune. Not trying to say don't get a TR224 for your 6.0. I just don't want you to be one of those people who wish they went bigger. An MS3 would be awesome. I had the hot start problems before my cam, but they weren't as bad with the cam. I've already checked my Fpg, but I guess it doesn't hurt to check again.

Something in that duration range would be a baby for a 6.0 with minimal gains IMO.

I dunno, with the stock cam being 196/207 .479/.467, not sure a 218/222 .580/.585 qualifies as a 'baby' cam. Looks like a decent increase to me.

I had just put a custom grind 218/224 .532/.568 113 in my 5.3. I loved it, I was hoping to salvage it for my 6.0, but dont know if I can get it fixed or not. I thought about going TR224, but not sure. I really need something that lopes with the cutout open, but can hide thru the muffler

Yea, I've been down that road. My original plans were to keep it a mild daily driver with noticeable improvement over stock...well, I reached that goal with my current set-up and...well you know how it is (I know that white1 definitely knows ). I guess it's better to be addicted to hot rodding than other things
