Default Help! 4.8 to 5.3 conversion questions

Ive been thinking about converting my 4.8 to 5.3. What all is needed to complete the conversion? Ive done a search but havent really found anything. Is it worth the money to do the conversion?

I agree. But if you go 5.3, just swap em out. When you get time, get it tuned

I dont have much cash right now cuz im in school so I dont really have money for a 6.0. Thats why I was just thinking about changing the 4.8 crank to the 5.3 crank. Is the crank the only difference between the 4.8 and 5.3?

no you will need the crank, rods, and dish pistons to the 5.3, not unless you want to keep your 4.8 flat tops for a higher comp.

I think buying all the parts indivudually will cost you as much as getting a 6.0 from the junk yard. I think.
