I've also heard they keep an extra supply of air for when you go from part throttle to WOT. I'm leaning more towards the noise baffle. :-) The coolant flowing through the TB actually takes the place of the heat stove on the older pre Vortec V-8's.

It's been mid 30's here today and some of the snow melted. I've been doing my share of power slides around corners. Haven't had enough snow/ice for parking lot doughnuts. I did one for our first snow and it was a blast as usual. I think I made about 7 rotations on the same spot before I got to throttle happy and spun out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

well, if what's happening to you is that when you first press down the gas (like leaving a stop light or sign) and it first feels like its not in gear, then stumbles a little then starts to go, then I've been told by the dealer there is a reflash that should take care of it. I don't know what the exact problem is or what else the reflash will affect either. Mine has done this several times since '99, just not enough to get me to want the reflash.

Has anyone changed the fuel filter. I usually change mine every 15k miles. I changed my dad's on his 00 5.3 sierra and it was due after 25k miles.
