You know I have noticed that same thing on my truck here recently. It doesn't do it all the time but, sometimes as soon as I take my foot off the brake and touch the gas there is a slight stumble. It's almost like it's trying to cutout but, never does.
I've got a '00 5.3L with: UPD, HPP3, and dual flowmasters. I've cleaned the TB before when the throttle was sticking. I wonder if it's from old spark plugs.
I just give it more gas....just in case. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Anybody else have this problem?
John

Mine does it every now and then like once a week maybe, it has never actually died though. It's weird but it must be normal since it happens to 3 of us. It seems like it only does it before the truck is warmed up, like when I am leaving the house in the morning.

Cash, the cold could have something to do with it since it's been hovering around freezing around here lately. I'm sure it isn't very nice in NYC either right now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
I don't know. Mine doesn't do it often enough to really see a pattern to it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Maybe I'll break out the Atap and get some logs for the next couple of days. Maybe something will show up in a log.

Mine has done that twice, and they both happened when it was 90+ out and I had the AC on. The first time it happened, it scared the crap out of me because I was merging into traffic from a driveway. I thought I was going to get T-Boned!!!
I have no idea why though.

I get it too, so does my dad. If let my truck warm up, it doesnt do it. I think it has to do with a smooth intake tube. Some of you might remember that tube that ran from the air intake to the exhaust manifold on your 305/350 motors in the 80's. It was used to heatup the air intake temp upon startup. I think our stock intake tubes serve the same purpose with all those damn ****** things sticking off the tube, sort like a resonator/air intake temp increaser from the heat coming off the motor. I guess the motor just has to come to temp before it should be driven. Another thing could be a dirty/clogged injector.
Who the hell knows, none of us built these motors. If we did they would make 700+ HP and run on 87 w/o det,get 20mpg and without TQM.
J Its 17 degrees right now and the parkinglots are iced over, what a time to do doughnuts huh???
