Default heat off of elect fans

new to site and don't know if this has been talked about or not i have the k/n fipk filter system and noticed alot of heat comming from elct fans to the cold area so my question is, i put in a peice of sheet metal to keep the heat out has anyone else notice the same problem and fixed it the same way? if not i can take picture as long as someone tells me how to attach to this forum

My FIPK has a heat shield that encloses the cone from the engine heat. Is that part missing from yours?

if you turn your fans on you can feel the heat comming in from the bottom of heat shield
