Jerry, is Allen putting you up to this? He says this to me every time I pick his brain. lol. I just don't want to destroy the weak *** trans. Jerry I had a 02 2500 HD ECSB in black, I should have kept that dam truck! Even though the piston slap was so bad at 30 thousand my father wanted to know when I did the Duramax swap and didn't tell him,lol

Piston slap does't seem to hurt anything. I have 59,000 miles on mine and i had the heads off to fix a broken exhaust bolt and you could still see the cross hatch on the cylinder walls like it was new. Go ahead and do it, Hell Joe could build a new tranny for you.

I know the new truck has no piston slap at all yet. I am just on the fence right now.

Yeah, I hear ya. I was also thinking the last couple of days of spraying. I am not too big on the juice thing though. I am almost dead set on a nice set of heads.

You could get some good power out of a set of heads, But with the turbo you retain fuel economy and driveability.

I liked N/A yet I also like FI. So I'm doing both. LOL

My Z71 is going back to N/A with a simple stage 2+ head and cam combo, 4L80E swap and a 3200stall. My goal is to hit 13s reliably and have near stock gas milage.

The lil grey truck will be FI now.

IMO if you want REAL HP then go FI. It's a WAAAY bigger headache to set up but the gains are 10x better than a head/cam combo. The only thing that would compare is heads/cam/nitrous.

F8L. your RCSB is the answer, I might leave the SS the way it is and just use it everyday. I am looking for a 4wd RCSB to play with now. Then I can go big. FI and not care to tear **** up!
My SS is pretty quick with the set up now and pretty reliable, I think I need a new toy. Then just start over and go big. Finding one in Jersey is hard though.
