Default Headers question

I'm swapping from a 4.8l to a 6.0l and am wondering about headers. There is 6.0l headers with no y-pipe, and 4.8/5.3l headers that have a y. Is the lack of a y-pipe only because of the 80e transmission in the 3/4 ton trucks or is there some other difference that I am not seeing? I'm getting a 6.0l, with an FLT level 5 60e, so which ones do I need to order the 6.0l with all new exaust, or the 4.8/5.3l ones with existing exaust?

The older 6.0 trucks came with dual exhaust from the factory. They came dual off the headers and went to a dual in dual out muffler (often Y'd after the muffler back to a single outlet). Any header will work for you... you just need to decide if you want to go to a Y pipe or dual. The '07+ 6.0 trucks have a Y pipe again.

the 4.8/5.3 and 6.0 manifolds are the same, like said earlier, just the dual in dual out muffler is the only difference on 6.0 trucks.
