Angry the headers burn up my wires!!

hey there guys.. after a long wait of my cam + headers installations.. the mechanic told me that the headers burt up my wires and the car started misfiring..

vehicle : 2006 gmc sierra 2500hd crewcab.. " Borla Headers"


so what do u guys recommend... the plugs where from the dealer... the mechanic said hll try the MSD wires...

any suggestions?

unless the wires are touching metal he's full of it. the delco wires are fine, but you can try something with a heat resistant compound if you want... i had a set of MSD that I used to test my existing wires for problems and melted one of the MSD because i let the boot touch the heat shield on my factory manifolds.

What brand headers you running??.. Did the mech show you the burnt wires>>>?????

I had the same problem and went with MSD multiangle wires and voila, no problem.

I've said it before.
i've NEVER seen my stock wires come remotely close to the headers. What's the deal here?

Shouldn't he of at least noticed them hitting the header when installing them and before starting it?

Let's see some pics, unless the wires were laying on the headers, it's highly unlikely that the heat emitting from the headers burned them up, especially the tried and true stockers.
