I have a 97 GMC ck-1500 and currently running a zz383 stroker and i am upgrading to a 400 based nitrous motor. I am going to have to run a 1-7/8 or 2" primary header and it seems if its impossible to find a premade set. I talked to Kooks,Lemons,and Stahl. Gotta carry the truck to Kooks, Lemons doesnt have anything, and I may be in luck with Stahl.. They are gonna try to make me a weld up kit, which is fine if they will do that. I am gonna find out today. Just seems that finding things for a pre 99 GMC/CHEVY truck is almost impossible.. Just seeing if anyone on here has ran across this before and if anyone is running a 1 7/8 - 2" primary header on a truck of this style. Thanks for any info... johnny

You may have better luck at this site/forum. There are a few regulars from here on there as well which have more experience/knowledge in modding things other than LS based engine.

Thanks guys.. The Hooker headers wont work. They are 1.75 which is 1 and 3/4" tubes. I have to have at least a 1 7/8th but really need 2".. This motor is gonna make over 1,000 flywheel hp on the kit so these will not flow enough.. Again i appreciate the help. I am still waitin on Stahl to let me know something also.. Looks as if they are gonna have to be custom made.
