head work?s need good advice
#1
hey guys, im wanting to do some work to the heads on my truck. my goal is to get into the 12's without headwork and do it n/a. but whether i do or not, i still want to do headwork later. so what all do i need to do. i know a good 5 angle valve job and some mild port and polishing, but how much should i get them milled. i am going to have flyer do the tuning for me so he can adjust the timing to compensate for the raised cr from milling. but i just would like to know any other tips that i need to do while i have them worked on. thanks
and this will strictly be for racing, im f*cking addicted!

Depends on the cam you plan on using as too how much I would mill. If I had to do it again I would of taken the same .050 and then dropped another .010 with a thinner gasket. I would shoot for around 11:1 scr on a cam with around 220 duration and no more than .56x lift, 7.5:1 DCR With full exhaust, CAI, stock intake and tune I would expect 340 rwhp from a 2wd
