Default head swap questions....tex where are you?

i know if i run the 6.0 heads as is that my compression will drop quite a bit? the only way to bring compression back up is to mill the heads correct? im sure it is but have to ask to make myself feel better about it.

also, with the 222/226 .569/.571 112 cam i wont have any p/v issues i'm sure with that big ole chamber of the 6.0 head, but what gasket should i run for best results? thanks guys....

p/v should be fine, my 224/228 590 didn't have any problems. For more compression use a thinner head gasket like the fel pro race gasket, thats easier that milling the heads.

Yeah you can do that, also ask what the compressed thickness is it should be around .040. Go ahead and finish that thing and come play at the shoot out.

Sorry, I'm late. Use the Felpro 1041 LS1 gasket - 4.1 bore and .041 compressed thickness, not the stock replacement gasket. Felpor makes several LS1 gaskets, but the 1041 has about 2cc less gasket volume than the stock thickness gasket.

Even with milled heads, you'll have no issues with P/V clearance.

That would not be correct. Dyno tuning will be next week after I get the motor and transmission in. My old 6.0 made 415rwhp N/A.

Did you dyno after the LS6 intake? I remember your older dyno numbers before the intake.
