Milling .030" should raise compression approx. 3/4 of a point.

do the 243 and 799s on the new 07 trucks have the ls6 valves the sodium filled the light ones? anyone know?

I think the lightweight valves were LS6 only. LS2s which also have 243 heads have standard valves, so I would imagine the truck engines do as well.

Maybe they have 2 casting numbers for all there heads because there are 2 different foundries that make them. Just a thought. I used to work for GM and they often made the same component in more than one place.

Bingo...only the 243's from the LS6 came with sodium filled valves.
