My converter showed up a few days ago.. Just thought I'd throw up a picture of it..

My Finish Line Trans Level 5 tranny should be done sometime next week... I'll be sure to throw up some pictures of that as soon as I get it home!

Well guys, I just got back from Finish Line Transmissions! (last night)

Let me first say that the guys at FLT are great people and really go the extra mile to ensure that every customer gets the best transmission possible. I spent about an hour there and learned some new stuff and saw first hand the time and care they put into everything they do. I spent most of my time talking with Chuck (the owner) and was pretty impressed with the time he took to explain things to me...

I know for a fact that if I ever need another transmission for any future build that Finish Line Transmissions will be getting my business!!!!

Here she is.... FLT Level 5 Trans w/billet output shaft

What stage heads are you going with? All of them seem to have some impressive flow numbers!

.040 (40 thousandths)

Looks like your going to have a heck of a setup! Good luck!

Mine is not to different:

Heads- PRC Stage 2.5 5.3l heads
Cam- Comp Cams 224/230 .581/.588 114lsa (XE-R lobes)
Texas Speed pushrods
Ls2 timing chain
LS6 oil pump
e-fans (running an Ls2 water pump and corvette accessories for clearance in the S10.. wont have room for anything but e-fans )
Yank SS4000 stall (keep in mind the weight of the truck and the fact that it will not be used to tow anything)
Sanderson Shorty headers for now until someone makes LT's for the LSx S10 swap.
Custom tune

ASP 25% underdrive pulley
ARP 12pt. head studs
ARP Pro Series rod bolts
LS6 intake manifold w/ ported and polished throttle body
FLT Level 5 Trans w/ billet output shaft

Thats all that I actually have for now... I am still debating on lifters and rockers for now. Once I have the lifters I will finish assembly of the engine and then the engine and transmission will be going in the S10!!!

I will likely be touching 7000+ rpm from time to time (due to cam size) and anywhere near 7000rpm's I don't trust stock lifters to hold up. While I have the heads off I may as well throw in some Morels...better to do it now than regret not doing it later.

I'm using the LS6 intake because of where I believe this cam is going to produce power.... up top. I like torque too... but dont need much in such a little truck that wont be used for towing.

Thank you! Neither can I!!

I look forward to seeing the numbers you put down with those heads.. the look great! Good luck.
