Gutted cats

Thanks guys. I've got a dumped flowmaster now, so it doesn't have much backpressure now. I was asking because I took the muffler off once so it was just the cats. It felt gutless on the bottom end, but seemed to pick up some power at high RPMs. I just wanted to make sure that gutting them wouldn't have the same effects.

Yes I did heads and cam before lt's and ofr ypipe. Just by redoing the ypipe and deleting cats I noticed less timing being pulled.

I thought I had been noticing mine begin to smell very strong...I guess maybe I'll just remove them. I don't have to worry about emissions here, and never will.

I gutted my cats out, sounds more hollow if anything. I do notice and increase in speed, plus it's a lot louder.

If they start smelling very strong, they are shot anyways, might as well remove them. They are not breathing right, plus less fuel mileage.
