on my truck it's worth 1 tenth and 2mph in the 1/4 mile......for $10 bucks it's worth trying......think about it if the air goes in your hood it will also go under the truck creating more turbulance then if it only had to hit the front of the grill then pushes the air to the side of the truck.....do you guys watch nascar on cool days they will cover the whole front end on hot days they only cover 80% to keep it cool

It might just be me.....But im going to raise the BS flag on the 99mph in the 1/4 mile...

With absolutly no mods, no nitrous, nothing your running close to 100mph in the 1/4

"it helped me run 99mph in the 1/4 mile with a stock motor trans and rear no headers or a programmer and (no nitrous) 5000 pound race weight with me in the truck"

Thats running close to what mid 13's, or so......

By the way blocking up the grill would cause MORE air resistence agiasnt the truck, not to mention more heat build up........causing you to loose horsepower.....

It makes sense...... the more wind resistence the slower your 5000 truck goes, and anyone with a truck knows that the last thing we need is more resistence, its like trying to throw a 5000 lbs brick into jello..... (i liked my analogy)

Yeah but wouldnt the air still get under the truck, and do the same thing...... the airs in idea would go to the side, but in reality it goes straight to the window, and the grill blocker is pushing into the wind creating more wind resistance.....

raise the b/s flag all you want ....i have to many witnesses that have seen my truck run...... the 13.71 at 99mph pass was from last spring way before a programmer was out..... i did have some cheap mods on my truck for that run and dynoed 311hp and 338tq at the wheels.....i never said that i didnt have mods on my truck where did you get that from?????

heres the time slip from last spring way before i put nitrous on my truck

i think for 10 bucks it would be worth trying. and before anyone on here starts calling BS on something that may or may not work, i think we should at least try it first and then post up. It might not work as well for us as it does on a Ram. but damn, if 10 bucks will help me shave a tenth then i'll try it.

thanks for bringing this up H777

goshawk23.....thanks........guys if you dont want to spend the $10 bucks to try it thats fine...........i was just sharing something that works for me and it was cheap.......i see guys that are willing to spending $250 to $300 bucks for a intake to drop a tenth when they could of made one for less then $20 bucks like mine lol

i dont think the nascar guys are wrong they block off their grills too..... there must be a reason for it
