Default got the transgo shift kit in finally

we started at 8pm last night and took our time tile 3am....

got the 4th gear super servo installed also, only used one washer for the acc. body, cause i knew already with the corvette servo it was gunna be firm shifts, i was temped with 2 washers but not right now or at least tile i get my tune in 2 weeks....

the after effect i could tell so much of a diffrence it revs to me diffrently then it did before, we did get the tires to bark at us a couple times...

while we had the servo assembly apart we threw that extra long pin and 1 washer-spacer...

wanted to thank joe over at jags performance for diffrent tips and etc...

wanted to thank my good friend david at a certin trans shop...

one down side to all this was the extra ammount of copper we saw in the tranny pan and fluid (bushing break down ) i hope that my tranny will make it to 100k no problems now...

You did the right thing going with 1 washer. I have 2 and the servo and mine are a little too firm. Great at WOT but I can't stop chirping the 1-2 shift even at partial throttle. Going to pull 1 washer out one of these days.

Oh yeah, I think you did the right thing with just 1 shim on the accum. without having a big stall.

I have the stock stall, so when I put the Transgo and Vette servo in, I think I'll leave all the washers out.

I'm having the same problem. I'm doing the vette servo here in a few days and taking out one of the washers. It was explained to me that such a hard shift with the two washers and all that power behind it could break the "sun shell", i beleive its called. This shell is located basically in the center of the tranny and requires a complete overhaul by a tranny shop to replace it. I'm sure the majority of you tranny guys kno what im talking about, but just my .02 for the common fella

Right on. Fortunately Chuck put a Beast sun shell in when he rebuilt it so I'm not too worried about that braking. I'm more worried about the rest of the driveline and particularly the G80. Oh yeah, my passenger rear tire seems to be wearing a little faster too Guess I'll have to rotate a little more often.
