just got my injectors in the mail. i ordered one 5.3 flex fuel injector then after i ordered it i found someone selling a bigger injector so i ordered a whole set.
here is what i can tell you so far, the flex fuel is rated at something like 33lb/hr at 40 or 43psi, i am not sure anymore but it doesn't matter because it is a diferent style, it is longer and has a larger conector so it wont bolt right in and if you are going to try and make a set of injectors fit you might as well get a cheeper set like the svo's.
the full set that i got is from RC engineering, the conector is identical and the size and style look identical also, i will be puting them in this weekend so i will let you know for sure that they fit. they came with a calibration report, the flow is 370cc/min at 43psi, that comes out to be 40.93lb/hr at 58psi. they cost $678, i know there are a few people looking for a big injector that will plug right in and these may be it, maybe there is a cheeper sorce. i dont have an aplication but the info that i do have is
RC SDM-370
Delphi
Lucas
7250c
c3a

time to go bolt them in, this may take awhile, i think i have to take the whipple off to get them in.

You are definitely going to have to take the whipple off. The stock injectors would be a b*tch to get out without removing the whipple. I don't think it could be done. Use a torx driver and break apart the fuel rail - 1 screw on each side. Pull off each side seperately. Watch out for the o rings on the rail crossover tube.

Looking for a real cheap source for those injectors so I can rub it in your face.
I'm having a hard time finding a list of Lucas injectors though. The lists I have found do not have those injectors.
I've got a few months to look around though.
If I can't find them I'll have to shell out some $$$.
Thanks for the info
John
PS - Can you get a picture of these injectors?

they are in, not too bad of a job and the whipple didn't have to come off although it may have been easyer to take it off. it is time to reprogram with ls1 edit and do some atap runs, oh yea, i have to eat too
i am sure you will find them cheaper, someone had to be the gunnie pig and order the things so we could get the numbers. it is too late for any pic's but i can tell you they look exactly like the stock ones except the spray holes are larger and only 3 instaed of 4holes.

the trucks have a mini injector, it is shorter and has a diferent conector, the svo's or the fbodys can be made to work. how much does a set of 42's cost for an fbody, then add find some conectors and solder them in, then add shiming up your fuel rail.

Summits got the 42's for around $440.
I was just messin' around about the cheaper comment. I don't know how it sounded but, it wasn't meant in a bad way.
Hmmm...three holes huh. I saw something about some 3 hole injectors on a webpage I found, now I need to try and find it again.

well i got them in and running, went for a couple of WOT blasts, the truck idles much better, is alot smoother under normal aceleration, at 5600rpm the injectors saw about 72% duty cycle, fuel presure is holding at 61psi, i am seeing about the same o2's. starts about .92 and finds its way down to about .86 by the end of a run. it's not any faster so now it is time to tune, i have no clue how to do this or where to start. does anyone have any good links on how to tune this pig?

i didn't unhook the computer but i did unhook the injectors, i think i will keep the whipple computer just because of it's ability to pull boost if there is a lean condition. from what i understand not all whipples came set up this way but mine did.
