got a quick question

hey guys i got this friend that thinks that ls1 type heads will bolt up to a voretec block and work perfectly is this correct or no, i say that it will not work. thanks in advance.

if you mean a Gen III vortec motor he is correct, if you mean Gen I style vortec motor then no

Also, if its going on a Gen III block you're gonna lose some compression if its a 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0. It'll keep that high compression on an ls1 though.
