got a ? on pushrods

Default got a ? on pushrods

i have a 5.3L i am putting a tr220 cam and bigger springs in and i was just woundering if i need to change the pushrods to better ones or are the stock ones still good. Also have any of yall change your timing chain while your there?

anytime you change a cam you should pretty m uch upgrade your springs and pushrods. you dont really need to bother with the locks and retainers but springs and hardened rods are a big plus i chnaged my timing chain for the hell of it and because some people say after quite a few miles, 84xxx they start to get some slack in them.

you dont need to change pushrods with a small cam. if you ahve the money do it if you dont then dont worry. when you start getting into large cams and stiff springs i would worry then

everytime i change cams i hae used the stock length but hardened just to feel safe a warm
