Okie, I am not sure about it but from what I have seen 100 hp doesn't seem to be killing anyone. I'd spray with a window switch and make sure for God sakes that you have a fuel PSI shut off switch w/ a air fuel guage.

Lenny

Edit Forgot to capitalize God, please forgive me

Unless there's specific problems with the 5.3L engine that I wouldn't know about because I drive a different brand, in general V8 engines should be able to handle a 100 shot easily as long as you follow some simple N2O safety rules:

1. Use quality spark plugs, either 1 range or 2 ranges colder than stock. Check your plugs religiously at regular intervals for signs of running lean.

2. ALWAYS use quality gasoline when spraying N2O - try to use 100 Octane (available at many 76 stations) or higher. Higher octane fuel is harder to burn, which gives a more controlled burn. The use of 94 octane fuel and/or octane boosters is better than nothing, but whenever possible you shouldn't skimp on the good stuff.

3. It is recommended to use an ignition source such as the MSD Digital 6+. This system offers dual rev limiters and timing control to pull variable degrees of timing out when using the N2O system.

Detonation is your enemy with N2O - this is probably what causes the most damage in engines under boost. If you can keep it under control you should be just fine.

Hey congrats man, that kit would have been mine if you didn't call it first Parish was spraying 100 shot on his 4.8L 4x4 w/o any problems, so I think the 5.3 can take it. When I get my kit, I'll probably go hardcore on the preventative maintenance, such as a fpss, ngk tr6 plugs, window switch that cuts off the n2o before it shifts (to keep the tranny happy), an a/f guage, and monitor my predator for any knock retard.

I think the motor will be fine, its the tranny I would worry about
