Default got a header question

Me and a buddy bought a beater truck. Its a 97 model with a 5.0 and manual trans. Does anyone know if the long tube headers for the mid 80s will fit? I would think so because of the manual trans but i wanted to ask. The only ones we found for this year model are shorties and thats a nogo.

You should be able to fit '95/'94 & earlier. The main difference would be the EGR hookup. You could of course weld/fab this on to resolve that issue or simply tune out EGR all together & plug the intake.
