Default Got 'er done (warning 56K killer)

Well took two and half days but the old 5.3 is out and the LS1 is in.

Not quite as bad as I thought it would be. Worse part was trying to get the tranny and engine to come apart. Oh yeah, those dam flywheel teeth are sharp

When I first fired it up, it scared the hell out of me. I had a miss and the exhaust was popping. Though for sure I screwed something up or had the cam sprocket off a tooth. Turns out one of the stock LS1 coils were dead so I had to use the trucks coils instead.
After that she purred like a sick kitten....lope, lope, lope.

Put a trailblazer stall in at the same time too, that bitch is heavier than I though. It takes a bit to get used too, feels like the brakes are dragging or something.
Dam thing sure has a hell of a lot more torque off the line, just burns up the tires without caring. But for some reason the high end just isn't there. My 5.3 felt stronger in the high end than the LS1. I don't know if its the stock exhaust holding me back or if it needs a tune really bad.

Here are some picturs, sorry don't know why some pictures are larger than others.

the 5.3L naturally will be strong in the higher rpm, but i think your 5.7L once you get it dialed in with a new tune should pull better up high by a little and down low by quite a bit.

If anyone is interested in what that cam sounds like in a LS1 and stock truck exhaust, here it is.
