Question got a 4.8 want it faster. any suggestions

i got a 01 silverado with a 3inch body lift and 35's. i love haulin ***. been wantin to do sum engine mods. anybody got any suggestions.

how much ya got to spend?

cold air intake, longtube headers, cat back exhaust, mailorder tune, gears, upgraded tranny, efans, underdrive pulleys, supercharger, cam

lose the 35's, and start from there..
or keep'em, but it's going to be really hard to get the thing to really scoot..

your going to need a power adder to get that thing moving. Put a supercharger or turbo to get those big tires spinning.

I gots a airaid tb spacer, cam, and a HPP tune in mine....feels like a million bucks now!

nitrous is not that bad on a motor..as long as everything is running right

Biggest immediate bang for you buck is nitrous. If plan on going through about 100 bottles like dirt_track_racer_81, the best bang for your buck in the end will be a supercharger or turbocharger...

That is where I was headed. All the reading I have done while lurking here, it looks like long term bang for the buck is a turbo or supercharger.
