Default Goodbye 4.8 hello 5.7

I'm finally getting started on my project. I taking the blowup 4.8 out and putting a 9:1 compression 5.7 LS1 vette motor. I bought some good pistons to go in it from diamond to get the compression down. I puttin all my 4.8 goodies in the 5.7 like my whipple supercharger (10psi) lunati 560/560 221/221dur. cam 43lb. injectors headers and I'm going to stay with my truck intake. I cant wait to get it done. I am also replacing the fried 4l60e with a 4l80e I beleive this thing should handle the power. Anyway I thought I would tell everbody the updates on the little yellow sierra.

Sounds sweet, you're gonna love the extra power and torque from the 5.7L. The blower will also breathe better too.
Have fun, keep us up on the results!

Sweet deal! At times I wish I would have bought a 5.7 LS1 instead of the 6.0L that I have....but then I'd just have a 5.7 sitting on the stand instead of the 6.0L so what difference would it make! I'm going to look at a used '97 Altima tomorrow, and as soon as I find a little 4cyl. beater, this swap is gonna finally get underway. I just can't be with out right now! Good luck with your deal, and keep us posted on the progress.
