Good turbo street cam?
#1
I am thinking of camming the ss over the winter. What would be a good turbo cam for the street. i really dont want to do new springs and push rod. i just want to put a cam in just to make it not sound so stock. i only plan on runing 10-12psiwith good tune. my comp is 9.5.1 i just didnt have the funds for a cam when i had the motor redone 5 months ago.

i have really payed much attention to the rpms. im on a new motor so i havent driven it to hard. and a new tune a week old. i think around 5000 to 5500. i guess i could do new springs and push rod. i just dont want to spend more than a 1000 on cam and everything if possible. i dont know musch about cam apps. plus we already have like 6 inch of snow in montana so i have all winter.

1000? that's a huge budget on a cam swap. you can pick up a used cam for 200. or a new one for 400. Pushrods around 130 and springs 75-120 depending on your lift. Install is
simple and takes about 7 hours if you have the tools.
F/I guys are going to want to know what size turbo you are running so they can match up the cam.
