Default 5.3 to 6.2 LS3 swap??

Found a deal on a LS3 6.2 escalade motor. What all needs to be changed with the wiring harness or will it bolt right up to my 05, 5.3 harness??

You'll need a harness for it and the PCM. Its a Gen IV with VVT and a 58x reluctor wheel. It will bolt right in through. Might want a 6l80 or at least a 4l80.

i thought sdparts.com was advertising a kit for putting a gen 4 motor in a gen 3 chassis. I saw it in their magazine add but dont have it infront of me. Can't find it on their website. though.

58x vs. 24x reluctor wheel, different cam sensor location, and different knock sensor locations...as far as I know. I'm guessing that modding the harness is as easy as lengthening some wires and possibly swapping some connectors.

Do the 05's have a 58x reluctor wheel on the crank, what year did they switch?
