Default Is this a good idea for my exhaust/performance?

I thinking about getting rid of my flowmasters and getting glasspacks with a 2 1/2" core. My choice in lengths are 12", 15", 18", and 30".

My question is which length will give most performance, or does the length really matter? Also, which ones will be the loudest? I should get my mid-length LaPole headers next week and was wanting to get more overall performance with my exhaust.

I had glasspacks before the flows and i could tell a decrease in performance when I switched.

Thanks

Glass packs are more restrictive than a 2 chamber Flow ... believe it or not.

If you are interested in trying a new performance muffler that helped my truck, try a Quickflow Muffler.

I can turn you on to them if you are interested....

Thanks

Glasspacks are rude...if you want good sound (with great performance) that not everyone has, go for Hooker AeroChamber mufflers, they have a straight throught design, a welded case, and sound killer

Yeah, I think glasspacks sound nasty...they remind me of "Farmer Bob's Ranch Truck". Magnaflow's sound awesome, finally heard a truck drive by with one on.

I just ordered one for my other truck but the principal is there, better sound control and more power. The sound is very smooth and nice, just a great sound. Y2K Silverado pointed me towards them.

Monday I'll be getting turn-downs and getting rid of all the extra piping and big 4"x22" tips. I'm hoping doing this will help eliminate some backpressure. I've talked to a few people that have done this and they said that they had gained some low-end.

As far as finding new mufflers, I found one that I like.

www.exhaustproslinc.com has the 14" long 4" round body Magnaflow Resonater muffler 2 1/2" inlet/outlet for $50.65 on sale. The reason I haven't bought a magnaflow yet is because alot of people talk about how quiet they are.

Would this help me out? Also, would these sound good? Would this be louder than what I have now or quieter? (true duals w/ turndowns, headers & cam)
