Default Going to the track soon, got a few ?'s

I have a 05 Regency RST Silverado (Regular Cab Short Bed, A4) with the 5.3L in it and I'm gonna be heading out to the local 1/8th strip in a few days and i was wondering what you think i might run. Mods are JBA shorties, Corsa Exhaust, True Flow Intake(all came stock on RST) and i added a PCMFORLESS 89 octane tune. A couple of my friends are going out there too, they drive a slightly modded dakota r/t, a lt1 trans am, and a older z28. Mods are in sig, im hoping for a low 9 which is in the 14's at the 1/4th. Do you think that's possible? Also the truck only has 1500 miles on it, should i let it break in more before i take it out there? Will the motor breaking in make my times any faster? Thanks
Brett

DFW area, and i forgot to ask... bluecajun.. was that rst a 4.8? Almost all of them are 4.8's but i got lucky and got the 5.3 so maybe i will run better than that 15.10 especially with the tune but yeah heat is a major factor here.

no, he said it was a 5.3. hopefully that tune will wake yours up and get in to the 14's... good luck

9.5 10.00 Should be somewhere in that range. The best I have ran is 9.86.

Do you think taking off the spare tire will make any difference?

Also if i swapped out the rear 20's for some stock 16's for the night would i run better? Thanks

swapping the 20's for 16's would definately make a difference i think guys have seen about .3-.4 tenths of a second difference from that.
