Going to Dyno 2morrow, any guesses?
#1
Got a dyno appointment tomorrow morning. The truck is an 03' 2500HD 4x4, 6" lift 325/65/18's, 6.0L (stock internals), 4L80, 4.10 rear, 9PSI Procharger, stock injectors, Procharger supplied FMU, and Procharger specific Fast Chips tune. What should I expect at the wheels? Should be about 75 deg and 30-40% hum.
My main reason for the run is to check the following
A/F ratio
Injector Duty cycle
Timing Map
I am sure that the shop will know what all to check and expect, they also do tunes and are expecting that the A/F is lean, the injectors are probably maxed out and the tune is probably very conservative timing wise. They are already suggesting larger injectors, delete the FMU and tune it again. So far I have put on 12,000 miles w/ the blower, I've done a lot of towing and had zero trouble so far. Comments?

yeah I am thinking upgrading to 43lbs injectors getting rid of the fmu and doing a custom tune I could see you up words of 380-400 to the wheels if these guys are really good tuners. good luck I wish I had a tuner here

Not to get way off subject, but how do you like that S/C for towing duties?

As for towing it's about what I expected, I tow a 4500lb boat, it's a little soft on power below 3,000rpm (only 3-4 psi) but still more than makes up for the big tires, and really comes alive when the RPM gets up and the boost builds, It tows a gear higher and at the speed limit on every hill I've thrown at it and we got some doosies around here. I really wanted the Radix for the low end torque but it was big $$$ and still pending CARB approval when I bought the Procharger, Whipple didn't offer an intercooler for the 6.0L which I really wanted, and the Procharger seems to be the easiest to return to stock if I sell the truck as it is a truly an easy bolt on kit. It's probably not the best kit for towing but it is working well for me. The true test will be when I hook up the 8500lb 26ft travel trailer I just bought, I got a bad feeling that I will be at the dealer looking at D-max's very soon, if so the procharger will then go on the 04' Hoe if I can talk the woman into it.

Cool... I ran a 220/220 cam in my truck, and pulling 5,000lb wasn't all that fun. It lost power around the 2K range, so it took a lot of pedal to get around.
Yeah, I was being real conservative on the 350 guess. I'd expect the 4L80 and the bigger tires would pull the HP rating down a fair amount...
