Remove heavy tires.

Install gears.

Enjoy a faster truck.

Profit.

Default Offroad alot due to service calls

Big tires are for the ground clearance due to living in the woods I need to know what mods would serve me better as the truck sits

Install gears, like 4.10's or 4.56's because your big heavy tires already made the factory gearing worse.

Get a custom tune.

Enjoy faster truck.

Profit.

I would remove the factory G80 diff, it will just blow up on you someday.

I'd go with a tru-trac diff with a better gear ratio and it'll be a totally different truck. Depending on what you go with, freeway rpm will be higher and might reduce fuel mileage.

I have a Suburban. My thoughts: Get either 4.56 or 4.88 gear with a Detroit Trutrack. That will wake it up a ton. Speed Engineering sells a set of long tubes and y-pipe. Install those and have an exhaust shop make a cat back exhaust. Spintechs are great for cutting down the drone in these boxy trucks. Go with the 5000 for volume or the 8000 for quiet. Next thing I'd do is get and Airaid MIT tube with a K&N drop in filter. Wrap all of this up with a tune from Black Bear Performance. I'd enjoy that set up for a while and If you want more a cam and springs will be next. If you can find one used a Trailblazer SS intake manifold is a great bolt on.

4.56 or 4.88 gears with a tru trac would make it a completely different vehicle.
