Default 402CI build

Hey guys new here.

I picked up a 07.5 LY6 with 72k miles.

I plan on swapping it in my SC/SB 2wd 03 4.3 with 241k miles that I picked up for 2500 bucks here sometime this winter.

I am going full forged, Lunati Crank and rods, Weisco pistons, ARP main and head studs, and a custom cam spec'd by stock48 (jarrett) along with dual valve springs, cromoly pushrods from Brian tooley. LS9 headgaskets for the heads. stroker kit is a 4.0" stroke and 5 thou overbore right at a 402 inch motor. I plan to have 15psi or so on this setup with a single S480 T6, but not sure who's turbo setup just yet. I like the quality of the KBRacing and Trick kits, but the price of the on3, so who knows.

I try to do a lot of reading before I post and ask, im no stranger to go fast stuff, I just got out of the diesel drag racing game with a 10 second 1000hp duramax, so I "know" but I don't at the same time haha.

I want to go 9's at around 4500lbs, so figure 800rwhp to start.

Guess this could be the build thread for me since I don't really have a specific question to ask, yet...

Still undecided on a transmission, but I am leaning towards a TH400 for cost difference compared to a 80E and the fact I wont be street driving it much.

Here to learn and see how fast this old man tan work truck can run. Glad ot be here.

Brian.

While it's apart, he should swap back to 24x instead of 58x aswell to make it easier.

Or save some doll hairs and not go all bored and stroked and still be able to make lots of power on a regular 6.0.

Add a Jakes TH400 to the list. also in the process of buying the KB racing S480 kit and some big injectors. coming along slowly.
