Default 5.3 engine compatability

I have a 2006 Silverado with a bad lm7. I have access to a 2004 parts truck with a good lm7. Is there any differences between the years? Thanks

Not really any at all.

Swap the short block and you should be good to go.

Like mentioned about. You should be able to swap the short block over without issue.

Thanks,

You can swap the whole long block.
