Robert runs 9. There are quite a few guys running the 400's but it sux not having OD. Our t-cases are actually pretty strong. There's an easy fix for our propshaft prob, it's about $300 for the Gilbert propshaft and you won't have to worry about it again. Almost all these 9 second Sy's are street driven. There's a video of Robert driving to the track, it's about an hour drive for him.

And 9's in a street driven truck is DAMN impressive. With only 6 cylinders at that! Gotta love turbochargers.

Yeah, the Gilbert propshaft is definitely THE replacement for the factory propshaft. I wonder if they'll make custom length ones for the 80E swap I want to do into a 2nd gen Blazer/Jimmy with an LSx series engine? Oh, well, no need to worry about that yet, I've got plenty of time to figure it out before I start turning wrenches.

I've been wanting to do one of these for a while. No one has said anything about my idea, so I'll ask. What about a 5speed manual with an awd t-case behind it? Like a 4wd nv3500 with the astro awd t-case? Or maybe with the nv149 out of an ss?? Anyone know?

there is also a turbo/supercharged syclone with a stick and awd, those are the only two manual awd (syclone) trucks i know of. a rcsb ss clone awd 5or6 speed/nv149 would be fun imo..
nice 10yr old thread bump btw..
