Your risking more by changing the chain then leaving it. You have to pull the oil pump to do it and unless you also pull the oil pan and the pick up tube, then you run a high risk of ******* up the o-ring on the pickup tube when trying to reinstalling the oil pump. I would just leave it. It's pretty low mileage any way.

 

x2....and pulling a "me" doesn't mean skimping out on parts or not being safe. Thanks though. I bought the best parts I could, and have always stayed on the safe side when it comes to tuning.

It's not worth the time or hassle to change your timing chain.

that's Jake's truck. I installed that cam, and it later cam back out to have the trans replaced. He sold the cam pretty cheap!

if you'd use the search, you would have found a ton more info on it from him.

 

I did use the search actually, found some info in one thread, but there was no actual numbers, so i thought i would start a thread seeing if there was any new guys running them!

Yeah i found that, but again its for an LS1, was hoping for number for a 4.8. But IMO those are some pretty good gains. I still think i am going to be using this cam, but tomorrow is another day, i could change my mind!!
