No guessing needed for such similar cams. Search the Car Craft website for their LQ4 they did with the hotcam swap, 1.75" headers, carbed intake, 850 carb, MSD wires/etc. It made 480 HP and could have made over 500 with a home porting job (their speculation). They even had the earlier iron heads, so you could probably get a few more ponies with some more timing on the aluminm 317's. The following article they swapped in L92 heads and a new cam and made 550 HP and still had more than stock MAX TQ before 2200 RPM and all the way through the RPM range.
