I would get a set of 3:73 with a eaton posi. Then get intouch with nelson Performance and get a tune. You also could do a cam. that would help wake it up alot.

If I could only get on of these things ever and never get anything else ti would be a custom tune by far but if you want to do an exhasut do it and the intake before you get the custom tune(Nelson Performance,PCM4less,MTI,etc...)
Welcome! This is for sure the sight you want to come to for good info and to see some bad *** rides!
Thanks for the info. I heard that there is a hot water line running through the intake throttle body. Cant you reroute that somewhere. Someone also told me to take my mass air flow screen out. Can this be done?

i have a 4.8. try this; volant intake, magnaflow 18 ", hypertech programmer= 248hp 252tq at the wheels. I have seen stock 4.8s put somewhere around 200hp stock to the wheels, so i think this is a good start.

Stay as far away from hypertech as possible. A custom tune is thousands of times better. I've had both, and a custom tune from pcmforless.com is not only $100 cheaper, but is a thousand times better!

There are so many things you can do to that truck. First off, is it an extended cab? Yes you can do a T/b bypass, but is does not equate to a horsepower gain. First thing is the standard high flow intake and a cat back exhaust, underdrive pulley, ported throtle body. From there, do a tune. If your in Gulf Breeze, I would get in touch with Futral Motorsposts and Thunder Racing on the tune. Those guys can work magic. Take a look at our sponsors to the right. These guys are the best in the bussiness and have the cars and cutomers to prove it. Some of our sponsors that tune trucks are:

Futral http://www.futralmotorsports.com/
Tbyrne http://www.tbyrne.com/
MTI http://www.motorsporttech.com/
HP Tunners http://www.hptuners.com/ (you buy the program and tune it yourself)
Thunder Racing http://www.thunderracing.com/
Texas Speed http://www.texas-speed.com/

After that, then you can do a torque converter, headers, gear, posi, N20, supercharger, etc...It gets addicting and expensive and the list goes on and on and on.
