Default Gibson headers - feedback wanted

thinking about Gibson headers - stainless
Yeah or Not...
Do they bolt up to the stock y ?
Or are there better out there....

The ONLY shorties I would CONSIDER would be the JBA's. The absolute best I have seen Gibsons do is 5rwhp with a lose up top and in ET. But as with any product, there are people that swear they are better than that, but the ONLY dyno numbers I have seen are what I said above.

I had the Gibson SS shorties and they will improve over stock (high rpm), but switching over to Long-Tube headers really opened my eyes. My SS set also had a lot of surface rust that appeared.

If you want to "do it once" and want "max" power, I would tell you to really think about ASM or FLPs. ASMs are cheaper but requires some welding. FLPs are more expensive, incl cats, 100% bolt-on and emissions certified (if that matters).

When you say "get them ordered", what exactly do you mean? If you don't mind doing a little exhaust work, I would get long tubes over JBA's...more money though.
