Flex-a-lite 282s are they noisy?

Flex-a-lite 282s are they noisy?
im about to purchase a set of 282s and was wondering if someone could tell me how noisy they are on a scale of 1 to 5.
1. heard only if standing directly in front of the truck.
2. heard standing by the drivers seat with the door open.
3. heard goin down the read with the windows rolled up and no music.
4. heard over the sound of the windows rolled down.
5. heard over the sound of metallica.
Thanks, guys... just wondering what to expect

The ONLY time I hear them is when I'm in a drive thru with the window down. I guess that would be a #2. 
If your outside the truck with it running you will hear them kick on also but, it's not bad at all like some electric fans.
They are VERY quiet and don't sound bad at all when you do hear them. The fans on my sisters 325 BMW are extremely loud compared to them.
Very quiet.

I love the very beginning and end of "ONE". The rest of the song ain't bad either. That's one song I CRANK UP every time I hear it.

Heck my younger brothers really like Metallica the youngest likes One the other digs Master of Puppets (junior high kids)...probably b/c they look to me for everything but that is good so I can keep him on the right path...fast rides, good music, and hot women. Everything life needs. I also LOVE Hero of The Day. Those are the best of old and new according to me
I always end up with some slight muffled hearing after both of those; the joys and consequences of a killer car stereo.

I say a number 2. I can hear them with the windows up, radio all but off when they are on full speed. If the truck is cool enough not to turn them on, and the AC is running (fans on low) I have to wonder if they are on with the windows down.

What can i say???? My infinity Kappa componets drivin by 700 watts of pure terror makes anything sound good!
