Gear Question

Ok currently i am running with a set of 285/75/16 tires and i am looking at dropping a V8 in. So what is the best gear ratio, do i need to go all the way up to 4:10's or would 3:73's be the best.?????

with 285's you're going to want a 4.10 at the least.
