Default Gas pedal is hard to push...

OK, I have a '99 2-door tahoe, 5.7L. 67k miles on it. My gas pedal is weird, when you go to push it, it takes a little bit of force to get it started and then it lets go. Tried spraying wd-40 on the pedal, pedal linkage, cable, and the spring/joint at the TB. Nothing seems to help. Does anybody have any ideas? It is really annoying because if I am trying to baby my truck it looks like I can't drive because I am always jerking because when the pedal lets go from whatever is making it hard it is real easy to push after that so I like halfway floor it!

any help will be GREATLY appreciated!

Try taking off your intake tube and cleaning the inside of your TB and butterfly. Buildup causes the blade to stick. It happens on the LS1 based truck engines quite a bit.
