Default gain from A/C belt removal?

When I get my new rearend I'm taking the truck to the track. How much power can be gained by simply taking the belt off that connects the AC condensor and crank pulley.

You will see no noticable difference. I have tried it and have had greater differences in times from traction that removing that belt. Just a hassle.

Not enough to warrant removing it.

I was hoping to gain about 8 tenths from a/c belth removal. Looks like I'll just have to settle fro low 11s

.... anyway, I figured that was 2-3 crank horses lost @ the crank from that drag.

In case you didn't notice.... I was kidding.

But... if I wanted a low 11 I'ld probobly spray about a 300 shot and some 20 inch wide slicks.... But I'm sure that would only last for about half a run before everything exploded.

LOL ... I'm sorry, I've been a little out of it since yesterday, kinda floating on meds trying to get over whatever this is I got.

I was just thinking, no way is there an 11 from what's listed in your sig. I thought maybe you had something up your sleeve that you weren't telling.

However you MAY get a tenth from a short belt but it is really a pain getting around with no powersteering if you have wider tires on the front.

Hey Derek, I found out today that it was your core I am waiting on. You aint got any JB Weld holding it together or anything do you?lol. Bernard told me it was supposed to be there today. I hope so, it's holding up my progress. Anyway, if I see any JB, I know who to call now.

CARAZYCUTER 4.8 did that a few weeks back just for the hell of it and lets just say as soon as he did one passed we put that bitch back on because it caused his truck to overheat pretty bad.
