Question Fuel rail ??? guys

I have a 05 6.0 which has a returnless fuel system, my truck is an 03, thats a return system. My ? is can I take a set of pre 2005 fuel rails and put them on my 05 intake to make it a return system so I can put this damn engine in my turd. Will it work, is there anything i will have to change.. Thanks alot

Put the motor in with the intake OFF. You will have hell getting the grounds tightened in the back and plugging in the cam sensor and oil pressure sending unit. Trust me. You will see when you go to take the 5.3 out

just did a LQ4 swap and i thought the same, take both intakes off its alot easier. The bell housing bolts/ brackets are a bitch even with the intake off. the two grounds and senors are cake to do with intake off. The manifold will take half hour to change, tops!

Return systems are better for performance, run your 03 intake and fuel setup. A lot easier than trying to swap too.
