Default Fuel pump and system question?

I have done a search, and found a few things that were close... Basically what fuel pump and system should I run for a 408 with a single turbo? My stock pump is going out, and it is going to be about two months before the motor, turbo, and transmission will be built. I don't want to install a factory pump right now, and then have to replace it in a few months. My truck is a regular cab short bed 2wd 02' Chevrolet silverado with the stock 4.8. This truck is just a daily driver, and must run on 91 octane. In other words I am not building something extreme...

Also would a set of ported AFR's or All Pros kill the torque in this setup for daily driving? Or should I stick with a stock head?

If you are using 6L heads I have heard its better to just do the usual performance headwork on them and save your money about the other issues I dont know. TTT
