Default Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump, or what the ?????

Truck bogs out in the morn once in a while and stalled out waiting on the onramp to get on the freeway the other day. It chimes and goes into reduced power mode. Turn the truck off and on a few times and its fine. Does this sound like the fuel filter or fuel pump or what else could it be?? Truck has about 75,000 miles right now.
Thanks!!!

sounds similar to how my truck was acting when my fuel pump was about to go... check your fuel pressure, and a new fuel filter never hurts, its like 7 dollars and 10 minutes.

Did you check the DTC history? Check the throttle for sticking, loose/intermittent connections, shorts in the wiring.

GM has had some trouble like this with the wires at the throttle body alot of times the wire will break about 2 or 3 inches from throttle body, normally the yellow wire, just get up there and pull test all the wires (rather firm but not to hard and see if one brakes) also wires could be melted together. No fuel issues will trigger "reduced engine power" light that system has to do with the throttle actuation.

Start with the obvious such as fuel pressure, good spark, etc., and definitely get a scanner on it and check if there's any current, history, or pending codes. There's a number of things that could cause your problem, from a loose ground, fueling issue, loss of spark. I had the "reduced engine power" warning once when I switched PCM's and all I needed was a crank relearn (which makes me lean towards something like a bad crank sensor or something along those lines...as a guess).

when i swapped to the ported throttle body a few months back it did this at startup so i turned off and on a few times til it started with no problem. didnt do it again until recently. wonder if its something with that? I def. need to check the wires. I'll try and swing by the dealer and have my buddy check any codes that might be left in the history. Thanks
