i used vice grips to pinch both sides of the coolant lines to prevent any major losses of coolant

most people with te TB mods spend quite a bit of time porting it all so alot of times the gains are all in their head. if you do the bypass, you shouldnt lose much if any coolant as long as your engine is cold. if you live somewhere its very cold i do not recommend doing the bypass at all or in the winter your TB could freeze
