it could be but there are just so many people that have had problems with it. and why would you suggest it if there are so many people who mess it up? even if its their own fault

ppl are idiots enough said!!!!!!!!!! i never heard of it being an issue to i cam to this site!! like said logged close to 100k in miles with no issues.

when you remove the screen properly you can reinstall it the same way without it being messed up. if you messed the screen up you porbably did damage to the maf

this is the same as someone says K&Ns are bad, no issues here again and i havent ever had oil on my wires

I don't know man, I stabbed like 3 huge holes in my screen with a screw driver and bent the heck out of it while it was still attached. Still no issues here.

no, just that you have 3 sides to every coin or in this situation stories.

what is causing the failures? user error? debris? cracked maf? damaged harness? maf cocked wrong? see the point

yes but you didnt damage the wires or the housing so it was a good thing. but you never know with some ppl

when i bought my truck, the guy that previously had it descreened the MAF. i didnt know until 4 months after i bought it when i cleaned the air filter that it was descreened. i dont have any problems with mine but my buddy done his and his truck began to run rough.

Do all trucks have screened mafs? When I bought mine it didn't have a screen and from looking at it doesn't look like anything was removed.

your 2000 shoudl definitly have one, my 2000 chevy had one when my daqd bought it new
