Last night I decided to play with my PPIII programming a little more. I decided to raise the rev limiter up to 6100 and bump the shift points in all gears up 5 mph (via PPIII). The truck came alive! I had always had a problem where it would shift into 2nd and I could not shift down after about 20 mph and the same thing with 4th to third after 65 mph. All gone and is there ever kick!
The only thing I am concerned about is whether I might get float, especially in 1st as I hit into the 6100 rpm range. I am also working on the purchase of a 2003 ZO6 12565308 cam. I will use the new springs but will this add to the problem or should the new ZO6 springs handle it fine? The specs are:
.550" intake, exhaust lift 218 degrees, exhaust duration 204, intake duration at .050, 117.5 degree lobe centers.

I am hitting the rev limiter in 1st. I corrected the above. The limiter was set at 6100 rpm. I just moved it to 6200. I will have to see if I still hit it. In my setup (PPIII) each mph in 1st-2nd shift is worth 117 rpm, 2nd-3rd is 62 rpm and 3rd-4th is 38 rpm. I raised each a full 5 mph. Guess I will jave to hit the track this spring to see if it has really helped.
Info from anyone that has used their PPIII for these changes would be helpful.

I was shifting at 6200 rpms for most of the time I ran my ls6 cam. Actually, 6200 was about right, because power started falling off hard that. I do think my LS6 springs started getting weak after a couple of years. Power in the upper rpms wasn't quite as good at the end as it was when I first installed it.
